Planes
Detroit Metro (DTW) is the major airport and is 40-60 minutes away from the hotel. Airlines servicing DTW include Delta, Southwest, AirTran, American, and United.

Our Chicagoland friends and family can also consider flying Lakeshore Express. Lakeshore Express flies from Midway to Oakland County International Airport (PTK) in Waterford Township (about 30 minutes away from hotel).
Car rental services are available at both airports (DTW and PTK).
Trains
Birmingham Station (BMM) is about a 5 minute drive from the hotel. Chicagoans can take Amtrak from Union Station directly to Birmingham. ​
A new transit center is slated to open September 1, 2014, though that could get pushed back. The train will arrive in the same area (5 minutes away) but the station may be called Troy, not Birmingham. We'll keep you posted.
Automobiles
The hotel (Somerset Inn) is located at 2601 W Big Beaver Rd, Troy, MI 48084
The hotel is located just off of I-75 Exit 69 Big Beaver Road/16 Mile Road. ​
Driving from Chicago will take you anywhere between 4.5-5.5 hours.
Parking at the hotel is free.
